Elevator pitch template — the six-part formula, with examples
For [who] who [problem], [product] is a [category] that [benefit]. Unlike [alternative], we [difference].
What a Elevator Pitch is for
An elevator pitch compresses the business into something sayable in about thirty seconds. The value is not the brevity — it is that the formula exposes gaps. If you cannot name the alternative, you do not yet know who you are competing with.
الجملة التقديمية بتلخص الشركة في حاجة تقدر تقولها في تلاتين ثانية. الفايدة مش الاختصار نفسه — الفايدة إن الصيغة بتكشف الفجوات. لو مش عارف تسمي البديل، يبقى لسه مش عارف بتنافس مين.
What goes in each part — with a a MENA founder tool example
For [who]
لِـ [مين]The narrow segment, not the total market.
Example — For founders building in Egypt, Saudi and the wider Arab world
Who [problem]
اللي [عندهم مشكلة]The pain in their words — this should echo your problem statement.
Example — who have an idea but nothing ready to show an investor
[Product] is a [category]
[المنتج] هو [فئة]Name a category people already understand. Inventing one costs you the sentence.
Example — StartupKit is a bilingual founder OS
That [benefit]
اللي [الفايدة]The outcome, measurable if you can.
Example — that takes you from idea to an investor-ready pack
Unlike [alternative]
على عكس [البديل]What they use today. 'Nothing' is almost never the true answer.
Example — Unlike English-only tools and Notion template packs
We [difference]
إحنا [الفرق]The one thing a competitor cannot simply copy next quarter.
Example — we are built MENA-first — local currencies, regional benchmarks, real Arabic
THE PART MOST PEOPLE GET WRONG
'Unlike nothing' means you have not looked
Every customer has a status quo, even if it is a spreadsheet, a WhatsApp group, or ignoring the problem. Naming the real alternative is what makes the pitch land — and it usually reveals that your competitor is a habit, not a company.
Fill it in, don't download it
A PDF you fill once is a file you lose. Here it stays with your startup, feeds the other tools, and appears on your public page as you finish it.
Questions founders ask
How long should an elevator pitch be?
Around thirty seconds spoken — roughly 60–80 words. If it needs a preamble, the segment is too broad.
Should it change per audience?
The structure stays; the emphasis moves. An investor cares most about the category and difference, a customer about the problem and benefit.
Can I write it in Arabic?
Yes — the tool is bilingual, and the Arabic version should be written natively rather than translated.
